Comment: Frankly, give me a Steenbeck any day! But since I'm trying to keep up with the times Final Cut Pro
is pretty good, so far. I'm still learning, mind you, and haven't any experience with Avid so I
can't compare them. I bought Final Cut because the majority of the people I spoke with liked it or
preferred it. My first complaint is that it is rather frustrating that they don't have a real guide
that goes along with it. I had to buy one seperately. Once you get the hang of things it is pretty
easy to use. However, it can take some time getting a hang of it. I can't say I love it, at least
not yet, but we'll see.

Summary: Great video editing software, poor video compression tools
Comment: I have been editing in Final Cut for over 9 years and it is a great product. However, Apple's latest
version of compressor leaves a lot to be desired. It produces compression artifacts that are
difficult to resolve.
