Summary: Great camera, but awful service
Comment: I love the flip video. It's amazingly small, portable and gives you decent quality video and audio
to go along with it. HOWEVER, the biggest gripe with this item is the construction of it. It's not
very durable and unless you treat it as if it were a glass slipper, you're in trouble. It was
dropped a short distance...probably 2-3 feet from the ground and the lens cracked (I only had it for
a month). I contacted flip who basically said, hey our warranty doesn't cover any drops and we DO
NOT have any replacement parts. They will NOT service your damaged flip parts! The camera still
works fine, but the crack interferes with the quality of the video.

Bottom line - I
can't give this a stellar rating because if you buy a flip, you need to protect it at all costs,
otherwise flip will make you buy another one b/c they don't want to lose money by just repairing the
broken part.

Summary: Fantastic Gift
Comment: This little camcorder is super simple to use and is small enough to carry in a shirt pocket. The
picture quality is excellent and the downloading via USB to a PC is child's play. BTW, this is a
great way for family members to stay in touch.

I only wish I could have given it SIX
stars!

Comment: This video recorder is excellent. It is small and easy to use. Like the camera on the cellphone it
can always be with you because it is so small. However the quality is not as good as larger devices.
Thats the trade off. But a less than perfect picture is sure better than no picture.

itself up then you can edit and move it around on your computer.

Transferring the
video is easy over the internet to sites like YouTube. The only problem is it takes forever, but
that is the speed of the connection and has nothing to do with the camera.

The battery
on the smaller devices lasts about an hour. This larger device it lasts about 2 hours. I have not
run out of power yet, but have come close. Then you have to plug it in and charge for a while.
Battery should last longer on a smaller device.

all is a great device.

Comment: I ordered four of these cameras, but my order was cancelled by Amazon. When they became available
again they were at a higher price, so I purchased elsewhere. The cameras themselves work great and
are very easy to use.

Comment: I purchased the 1st generation last year for personal use and I love it. I wanted something simple
to use without reading a 200 page instructional manual.

This has fit the bill. />
Our office staff purchased this one for our "fearless leader" i.e. boss, because we knew
full well anything more complicated would be stored in a drawer to be forgotten.

He
used it immediately and was surprised he could operate it intuitively.

But the best
surprise has been in the quality of both the video and audio which has surpassed my expectations
along with my husband's, the owner of quality cameras.

So if anyone has any inkling
whether to purchase it or not, go ahead. You'll enjoy it and the hours of viewing great memories
you would not otherwise have.
